Business Development Manager (Remote)

As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with the External Sales team and represent Greenmill as the lead go to and expert within the HVAC market in the Northern Region.

Location: Working From Home
With travel allowance. Covering Birmingham and surrounding region.
£35k to £45k per annum - Full time
Working Hours: 8.30am – 5.15pm (Monday-Friday)

What will you be doing:

As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with the External Sales team and represent Greenmill as the lead go to and expert within the HVAC market in the Northern Region. Working towards Sales and GP targets for new and existing customers, you will spend 2 days home based and 3 days field based, although the initial induction will be required to be in Colchester, Essex for training.

This position plays a fundamental part towards Greenmill’s vision in supporting how the business creates satisfied customers who repeat buy with a key focus on how we deliver a flawless customer experience. Responsibilities will include:

  • Targeting and winning new business opportunities and qualifying leads.
  • Setting up new customers and influencing repeat spending and growth with Greenmill.
  • Follow up all incoming enquiries to determine the size of the potential customer and allocate accordingly.
  • Manage and follow up incoming activity linked to our targeted prospect marketing campaigns.

Skills and experience required:
  • Business development: 1 year (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (required)
  • Communication: The ability to communicate across all mediums such as telephone, web video calls, F2F etc.
  • People Skills: Work with a diverse team and deal with a variety of customers.
  • Competent user of NetSuite/CRM, fully utilizing the call scheduling system.
  • Negotiation skills essential to secure orders and projects, without unnecessary sacrifice of margin.
  • Excellent rapport skills and a can-do attitude.
  • High level of efficiency and accuracy across all fields.
